Building Fire at 36244 Brookside Drive Gurnee, IL

–On May 4th at 8:24am, the Gurnee Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 36422 Brookside Drive in Gurnee. Upon arrival, heavy fire and smoke were seen coming out of the first floor, second floor, attic, and rear of the structure. The Gurnee Fire Department arrived on scene within three (3) minutes of the dispatched call. Firefighters and Paramedics from Waukegan, Newport, Libertyville, Zion, North Chicago and Mundelein were called to the scene to assist in extinguishing the fire and provide ambulance coverage for the Village of Gurnee.
All residents with the exception of one dog and two cats evacuated without injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
